Veteran and Military Discount Auto Repair in San Antonio
The Motorpool is a veteran-owned auto repair shop, and we named it after the place where a lot of us learned to keep vehicles running. If you served or are serving now, you get 10% off labor on your repair or service at either of our San Antonio shops. Show your proof of service when you check in and we take care of the rest.
10% off labor for veterans and active duty
Here is how the military discount works:
- 10% off labor on repairs and maintenance
- Applies to labor only. Parts, tires, fluids, fees and taxes are billed at the regular price
- Not valid on emissions testing. State inspection fees are set by Texas and stay as-is
- Cannot be combined with other discounts, coupons or promotions. If more than one applies, you get the better one
- Proof of service is required at check-in: DD-214, VA ID card, military ID, or a Texas driver license with the veteran designation
We do not make you jump through hoops. Bring your ID, tell the service writer you served, and the discount shows up on your invoice.
Honest repair, done to a motor pool standard
We run our shops the way a good motor pool runs. We inspect first, show you what we found, and give you a clear plan and price before we touch anything. No upselling, no guessing. You get straight answers and work done right the first time. More about our veteran-owned shop.
Our techs handle brakes, engine diagnostics and check engine lights, suspension and steering, cooling and A/C, transmission service, batteries and electrical, hybrid and EV service, state inspections and oil changes. Tires are installed at our Full Service shop.
Two San Antonio shops close to JBSA
Both shops are on the south and west side of town, an easy drive from JBSA-Lackland, Kelly Field and Brooks. If you are stationed at Joint Base San Antonio and need a military discount mechanic near base, we are close by.

Veteran discount FAQ
Who qualifies for the military discount?
U.S. military veterans and active duty service members with proof of service. Bring a DD-214, a VA ID card, a military ID, or a Texas driver license with the veteran designation when you drop off your vehicle.
What does the 10% cover?
Labor only. Parts, tires, fluids, shop supplies, fees and taxes are not discounted. It is not valid on emissions testing, and state inspection fees are set by Texas.
Can I use it with a coupon or another promotion?
No. The military discount cannot be combined with any other discount, coupon or special. If more than one applies, we will use whichever one saves you more.
Does it work at both locations?
Yes. You can use it at The Motorpool Full Service on Poteet Jourdanton Fwy and The Motorpool Quick Lube on Enrique M. Barrera Pkwy.
Do I need to mention it when I book?
It helps. Add a note when you book online or tell us at check-in, and have your ID ready so we can apply it before we write up the invoice.
Are you close to Lackland?
Yes. Both shops are a short drive from JBSA-Lackland, and Fort Sam Houston and Randolph folks are welcome too.
